BARNES AND THE CONTRACTORS.
Dunedin, March 29,
The City Council held an inquiry last evening into the charge against Mr. Barnes, the Works Inspector, of refusing to give orders to contractors. The charge was found proven, and a new Inspector appointed to supervise the contract.
