FRITZ AS A PLAINTIFF.
J. K. Emmett and De Lias threaten an action for £2OOO damages against the owners of the steamer Jane Douglas, which they specially chartered to convey them to Aucklaud in time for Emmett to catch the City of New York, to fulfil starring engagements in America. The reason given for the action is that owing to the steamer having taken on board a number of horses, notwithstanding that she had been specially chartered, she was unable to cross the bar and fulfil l.er contract. o Riverton, March 19.
