HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
At the meeting of the committee of this Society last evening the following gentlemen were present -.—Messrs. J. Lemon (president), M. Spratfc, F. Earie, T. Hartley, J. Main, M. Clydesdale, J. Kidd, J. Paterson (treasurer), and A, Simpson (secretary). A member wrote offering to present £2 for the purchase of a medal for the best collection of grapes at the Show. The Secretary was requested to thank the gentleman for his donation. On the motion of Mr. Earlb, seconded by Mr. Spratt, it was resolved to rrtsent a silver medal for the best four bunches of grapes, fri be grown by the exhibitor.
