MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
THIS DAY. [Before T. \V. Parker, Esq., R.M.] CIVIL CASES. T. HILLIKER V. RACHEL GRACE. Claim, £29 lis. 9d. for goods supplied. There was no appearance of defendant, but plaintiff stated that he had received a telcram from Mrs. Grace authorising him in sell .off as much of her property as would liquidate the debt. The Magistrate, however, said he could take no cognizance of the fact, and an order was m;Tde for amount claimed and costs.

Claim for 15s. 6J. for coals sold and delivered. Defendant did not appear, and judgment went by default. COLIN' CAMPBELL V. O'NEILL A>*D LIPPERT.
Claim for £9 Kb. Mr. O'Meagher, who appeared for defendant, took exception to the document furnished being without dat-?s. and stated that Mr. Lippert was placed at a disadvantage, as, his books having been destroyed, he was unable to check"" the claim. The Magistrate admitted the plea by connssl, and nonsuited the plaintiff with £2 Gs. costs. LIPPERT V. LAWRENCE. Claim for £2 33., damage to a conveyance by VAe negligence of defendant. V. may be remembered the caso occui>i r.l the Court for a couple of hours on Friday, and adjourned until this, morning for judgment.- which was given in favor of plaintiii'for the full amount claimed.
