OAMARU HOSPITAL.

The usual Conjmittee meeting of the Oamaru Hospital took plac? last evening at the office of the Secretary. Mr. T. H. Brown occupied the chair, the following members being also present : —Messrs. Headland, Dunn, J. Bee, Rowland, Clowes, Mainland, and the Secretary and Treasurer, Messrs. Church and Lemon. The House Committee presented the following report:— " Oamaru, 17th October, 1876. " To the Committee, Oamaru Hospital.

" Gentlemen, — the honor to report that we the Hospital during the month, a~tt found everything in a satisfactory cond'tion. As there are now but two patients in the Hospital—one male and one female—we have instructed Mr» Moore to keep his assistant employed in the garden as much as possible. "In accordance with the resolution passed at last meeting, we have given instructions for painting the inside walls of the Fever Hospital, and ordered a few loads of shingle for the pathway. We would suggest that something should be done with this building, and think it might be advantageously let, upon' short notice for tenants, removal. In the event of this being done, a cross fence would be required. Bedding, beds, &c, could be removed to the Hospital. " We have passed as correct monthly accounts amounting to £55 ss. lid. Accounts were passed for payment, the Treasurer's statement read and received, and the Secretary instructed to write to a former patient of the Hospital, requesting payment of maintenance money, due, a similar course to be pursued with others likewise indebted to the institution. He was further instructed to forward subscription lists to the various stations and railway contractors.
