Ditnedin, Wednesday. THE LAND REVENUE.
The land revenue for Province of Otago, for the quarter ending September 30, exclusive of Souhland, was :—Rural land, £87,793 lis. 3d. ; assessment on stock, £30,950 19s. ; miscellaneous £2,725 355. 7d. ; total, £121,470 ss. lOd. The assessment on stcct amounted, in the aggregate, to nearly £30,000, but as part was paid on October 1, it will appear in the current quarter returns. THE FERE BRIGADE DEMONSTRATION. The Hokitika Brigade sends a team to the Fire Brigade's Demonstration, on Boxing Day, the Dunedin Brigade sup plying the apparatus.-
