Some interesting particulars of the En-> maru Rush are supplied by the jSfowY " Special" : —" There are large arrivab daily, and the township is rapidly extending ; buildings, large and commo. dious, of wood and iron are springing np in all directions. The sinking on the head lead of south-west extension is 30 feet and 40 feet, all slabbed, and a quartet of a mile wide, but the washdirt is in patches. Where struck, it is said to h payable, but there are many blanks. A water-race is not expected in for three months yet ; and there is no water at pr* I sent. Most of those unprovided with means are leaving. Work, other than at mining, is scarce, and taken 50 per cent under the usual rates. Much individwi distress is apparent, many having no means.
