[per tress agency.] Wellington, Thursday. STREET TRAMWAYS. Owing to some objection raised by the Minister of Public Works the proposed street tramway cannot be proceeded with at present. Dunedin, Thursday. THE WASTE LANDS BOARD AND THE SUPERINTENDENT. The Dunedin Waste Land Board passed a resolution denying the allegation made by the Superintendent that they had been influenced by the Colonial Government, and requested 'the Cliief Commissioner to ask the Superintendent what authority he had for making such a statement. Christchurch, Thursday. LAND SALES. The land sales continue to be very heavy. The. amount received by the Waste Lands Board yesterday was £15,406.
