IGNITION TROUBLE

Look At Mechanism of Breaker

When ignition, trouble becomes confused that is the time to take a look at the breaker mechanism. A lot of variable trouble originates at this point. TN one case two mechanics were puzzled because the. engine occasionally stalled. Now and again the action would be similar to having one plug at fault. A third repairer happened to' think of the breaker arm. Looking this part over carefully he found that the wood block which rides the cam of the distributor shaft was loose. Sometimes the points wouldn't open far enough for good spark. When the block got away out of position the point remained closed. Now and again the tension "of the breaker arm spring is found to be too weak. A broken spring is just another one of the things that may cause this variable ignition trouble.
