IT is a long step from the centre of the King Country down to Balclutha, but the many Ohakune friends who gave Otto List a handshake and a word of congratulation oh his transfer to a more important office, are not likely to forget the man, who, during his six years' stay as postmaster at the mountain village, became one of the headlights m public affairs.
