WHIZZ! . . . crackle! ... spit, and a blinding blue flame appears from nowhere and disappears as rapidly while behind everything is the hum of a dynamo. The stranger might be pardoned for thinking he was m the wireless telegraphy cabin of a liner. But he would be wrong. It is, to coin a word, the Therapeum of an Auckland practitioner of one of the latest developments of medical science, electro-therapy, whose name is Leonard Andrews. Three hundred Years ago, Andrews and all his apparatus would have been burnt at the stake. Even to-day, many of the means he uses to alleviate and cure various complaints appear miraculous m a world grown used to the stream of surprises produced by science. But Andrews has all the latest gadgets at hand and their application at his finger-tips and this is no upstart "quack" stunt, but a recognised branch of the healing art.
