USE NEW PLUGS
Cheaper and Better For The Car
PAR owners who obey the reepmmendation to change spark pi tigs every 10,000 miles probably would have more faith m the wisdom of. this bit of advice if they but knew why manufacturers offer it. It is not that a plug is really worn, out that we are advised to throw it away, but rather because the points can no -longer be 'adjusted with any degree of accuracy except, by very ex-* perienced motorists. Constant discharging" of spark at. the. points wears them down. This -increases the gap, so that if the motorist doesn't keep adjusting the points he will not obtain best ignition results. And when he comes to making- such adjustments the chances are ten to one that he won't be able to do the job properly because of the very uneven way points wear. It's cheaper to install new' j>lugs than to experiment with the oldiOnes, . ■ .'■;. i
