(From' "N.Z. Truth's" Wanganui Rep.) The championship meeting of the West Coast centre qf the N.Z. "' AiA.A. was held at Wanganui i on ''■. Saturday last, and proved an unqualified success. :\ THE performances were high-class all round, and competition for the banner between the various clubs was, very keen, the- result depending on the last event—the relay race:—which was won by the Wanganui Club's representatives. , . : .. • • '■'■■■' ■. The outstanding, feature of the running was the wonderful form of H.. E. Newton, who won the 100 yds;, the 448 yds, and the 1 halfmile.
