The gorgeous Metro screen classic, "Extravagance," m six lavish and exciting acts; is one of the headliners on the new programme of pictures at the Greater Crystal Palace Theatre, Christchurch, and it is 'said that m this picture the big Symphony Orchestra finds exceptional scope for thepresentation of a musiqal: programme which surpasses any previously played by that excellent organisation. In "Extravagance" the best motion picture critics agree that May Allison, the lovely screen star, has a charming: production that fits her fine actingto a nicety. The- Universal feature this week is "AH Dolled Upr," a five-reel special attraction, with the dainty little actress. Gladys Walton, as the star. "All Dolled- Up" is a comedy-drama, or love story, wherein there is said to be "a fight for every kiss," but the fighting is not of the blood and thunder kind, it is o, fight of women's wits. The other pictures on the lengthy programme are: The last chapter hvt one of the thrilline circus story. "Kin.er of .the' Circus. " "The Dog- Doctor," a fine Century comedy, featuring Brownie, the wonder dotf. and the latest copy of .theInternational News film.
