Last week the Dunedln District Committee met, Mr. P. Miller occupying the chair. It was unanimously resolved that B. Berry's disqualification be removed, and further resolved that a copy of the evidence submitted by Berry be forwarded to the Southland Racing Club. This decision has given general satisfaction. ' Tuapoka Jockey Club wrote m connection with their hnndicapper, Mr, a. Jones, owing to whose alleged conduct the club had to call m .outside assistance. The committee intimated that It had no power to deal with the matter. Numerous three-year-olds are expected for the next Wlnton Stakes, It is rumored that P. Moor has a promising youngster In a Pallas—Order two-year-old ally down the far South, ' John Barleycorn, temporarily retired, has come to light again under C. Chris, tie at Wlngatui. He is supposed to be really sound again. The trotting item, Commander Bell, has assumed new colors.
