BOLTING BROOKSBANK
Mr A. E. Skelton, who appeared for the petitioner, Catherine Elizabeth Brooksbank, applied for an untying of the nuptial knot on the ground "that the husband, James William, had deserted his wife, practically from marriage, and that she and the child had been reduced to circumstances which compelled her to go to the Charitable Aid Board for assistance. The marriage took place m England m 190-1, and Brooksbank's whereabouts were unknown. :
A decree nisi was granted, to be made absolute m three months. The usual costs were allowed.
