SAILORS' REST.

The concert at this popular resort of the sailors attending; the Dominion was kindly given last Monday night by Miss Gladys Cohen, who, besides givirg several vocal items, accompanied the various singers — Mesdames Cohen, Sutcliffe and Williams, Misses E. Arnold, Churchward (both gold medallists), and Baltin. Messrs L. Sampson, Hay, Parkes, Woods, and Lloyd. Notwithstanding the rough nieht the large hall was completely filled with sailors, who had assembled to meet the plucky ladies and gentlemen who had braved the elements to devote their time and talents for their amusement. Needless to say, the vote of thanks tendered at the conclusion of the lonjr pro^r- ■>•■>• p was most heartily given. The concert for next Monday is being arranged by Mr Hobman (W.M.C. Minstrels).
