SAILORS' REST.
.The usual weekly ; concert lielc& ■■'&% ■the Rest on Monday evening lasts was given 'by Mrs G.< Anderson, Messrs A.- S.- Ballance, Barrett,. Parkes, Chambers, Carr, Cook,, Bastin, : Browsing and Williams. Over, 200 seamen- were present, and their-' hearty applause of each item indicated the pleasant evening; spent by? them. On Thursday night last the •Island 1 Bay, Orohestral Band save {•heir, initial puib'lic performance, which was an unqualified) success. A$ the close a hearty vote of thanks was tendered to those who had so kindly given their services. The conoert oh Monday is to 'be given by Miss Gladys Cohen. On Wednesday Turner's Baiijo and Mandolin Band will give, aconcert.
