SELINA'S SORROWS.
"What's m a Name?"
There are plenty of girls tamed Selina a/bout, which is not wonderful, but what is so is that so many bt them go cronk. There are any number of prettily named petticoats that go wrong, but Selinas seem to take the bun, A Christchurch woman with a straw hat, and a look of innocence, named Selina Ohilds is ho kid. There was a time when she wore dainty, clothes and ran an hotel m Otago. Now she is glad of a term m the Salvarmy Home, She hasn't reached gaol yet, although she offended two times twice the other day. Pilfering •appears to be a little weakness of hfirs, her last offence being concernine; a fiold ring belonging to a woman named Rowe. She pawned that ring for four bob, and had a good time with the proceeds! The proceeds meant eight pints, and m the language of the classics eieht pints are eight pints. There was very little doien<-e, and Selina C was given three months' quod, but so long as she remains m the place notified as the Salvarmy Home half a year she will be all right. Tn this case. there's no reduction for taking a quantity.
