Fred Lawrence, the young Birmingham professional, whose English advertisement sets out that he is the "World's Greatest Boy Billiardist," made his firs,t appearance m public on the 37th January, ISO 3, at the age of 15 years, and since that time up to June, 1906, he has on 229 occasions made breaks varying from 100 to 260; and has won no fewer than 338 out of a total of 433 games played, Young Lawrence was born on the l'Bth June, 1887, and is, therefore, m his 20th year. He is, indeed, a fine player, so also is young Fred Lindrum, of Perth, who recently won the championship of the West from Bert Teague, and, although Lindrum is a junior to Lawrence, when these two meet a great game should be put up, and, unless I am very much " mistaken, the Australian will, be found on top. .
