BURNHAM BOYS' BOUNCE.
"Truth!' has on countless occasions chronicled the crafty caterings of the boys of Burnham Reformatory (Christchurch). The latest concerns one of these beauteous specimens who has journeyed so far afield as Auckland, Herbert O'Brien is his name, and he is out on license from that famous, or infamous, .reformatory school. Once out of hounds Herbert appears, to have gone on a grand fly round and the news travelling back as to his goings on, the school authorities issoied a warrant, or something like that, fPr his return to the school. However Herbert was not taking any more school, not if he could help it and the warrant could not be executed for some time because Herbert wasn't.' to be found. Now he has been unearthed at a place called Matamata : There it seems lie evidenced tbV good Burnham training had clone him by going to a man named Hannon and begging the loan oof, f a pra-rt... What .is known is that by some extraordinary lapse of memory he forgot that the horse did not belong to him and tried to sell it. He failed to' pass muster, and was convicted and bound over to oome up for sentence when called on. What hurt Master O'Brien's feelings most was that he was again banished to Burnham.
