J. C. WILLIAMSON'S COMIC OPERA COMPANY.
The return visit of Mr J. C. Williamson's Comic Opera Company, at! the Opera House, commencing on Wednesday next f promises to be a popular one. The season, which is limited to nine nights, will be the farewell appearance of the company, and during it six of the most popular operas of their extensive repertoire will be staged. The opening niece, for three nights, will be Andre Messager's enohanting opera "Veronique," m which! Margaret Thomas made her greatest Australian hit. ''A dainty dream of sweetness" aptly describes this de* lightful work. Following "Veconique," five of Gilbert and Sullivan's works will be staged. On Saturday the opera romance "The Yeoman ot the Guard," on Monday and Tuesday "Utopia,, Limited," on Wednesday* . "Patience," on Thursday "Princess Ida," and the season will conclude on Friday, July 27, with that fascinating opefra "The G^jpdoliers." As the . company are due m Australia at the conclusion of the Wellington season, the above programme will be strictly) adhered to. All. the old favorites will appear and judging by the enquiries, at the box office a bumper opening, to greet them seems assured.
