INVERCARGILL, January 21, Regarding the cultivation of blueberry in which Dr. Tillyard, of Cawthron Institute, is much interested an Invercargill resident has three varieties she imported from America three years ago growing splendidly in her garden and giving every indication of a fine crop of fruit. The varieties selected by her were Rubel Hording and Sam. Great interest is taken in the trees for the growth of iwhich Southland appears specially adapted. The lady intends to propagate the plants and start an orchard tor commercial purposes. As the fruit is as much appreciated as the strawberry, there will be an assured market.
