In to-day's issue will be found the Railway Department’s advertisement in re the issue of special cheap excursion tickets to Levin on January 2oth and 26tli in connection with the Horowhcnua A. and P. Show at Levin. Peru has rejected the proposal of the United States Secretary of State. Mr F. IV. Kellogg, that tiie disputed provinces of Tacna and Ariea be ceded to Bolivia.—A.N.Z.
