GAVE BLOOD
APPEAL BY WIRELESS MELBOURNE, January 14. The Alfred Hospital broadcasted an urgent appeal, through 3LO, for a malaria-stricken patient. Tho medical superintendent stated to-day that an active malarial sufferer was “required, to infect another patient with malaria, in order to cure liim of a serious disease of the central nervous system. The first response to the appeal was made yesterday, and a quantity of the volunteer’s blood was injected into the veins of the paralysed patient.
