(Received January 19, 7.15 p.m.) MALTA, January 18. The ’plane was flying in a downpour of rain and a boisterous wind. In attempting to make a forced landing it struck the cliff p.nd fell into the sea. The officer previously unidentified is Flight-Lieutenant Brewerton.
