HUTT VALLEY GUN CLUB

The Hutt Valley Gun Club held its monthly clay bird shoot on the club’s ground, Hutt Park, on Saturday, when the northerly gale blowing made shooting difficult. In the first shoot of 21 birds for W. Donovan’s leg-in trophy, A. Dennison, 20yds, and S. Edwards, 19yds, tied with 18 breaks. In the shoot-off Edwards won. Jameson and Smith each broke 16. In the second shoot of 15 birds for Mr Hayward’s trophy, Pearse won with 14 breaks off the 12yds mark. S. Edwards and S.- Scott tied for second, place with 13 breaks each.
