ly, a special meeting of the Wellington Friendly Societies' Council was hold, Bro, F. J. Jones, president, being in the chair, and a very representative gathering of delegates being present. After discussion it was resolved to hold a combined Friendly Societies’ pionio at Karori Park on Easter Saturday, April 16th, and that the various city and suburban Friendly Societies’ branches be requested to afford the project full support. The following organising committees were set up: —Sports and grounds, Bros. Travers, A.0.F., Griffiths, A.0.F., "Pearce, 8.U., 0.0. F., Jones, 1.Q.0.F., Carr, A.0.F., and Sistpr Sargent, 1.0,0.
