WOMAN IN NGARUAWAHIA RIVER BEING DRAGGED. Per Press Asoojiatlon. HAMILTON, January 11. At Ngaruawahia this morning Mrs Blackburn, accompanied by two children, one about eighteen months old and the other three years, qalled at a house on tho river bank and asked for a drink of water. About an hour later the occupant of the house, when strolling along the river bank, found the two children crying bitterly, while the woman’s hat was lying on the bank near them. The woman was a stranger to Ngaruowaliia. The police are dragging the river.

Mrs Blackburn, who comes from Auckland, sent a letter-card saying that she Would be asleep in. the deep by the time her husband received it.
