MONSTER SPRING CARNIVAL

CONVENT AT TE ARO Judging rrom the enthusiasm shown, the Monster Spring Carnival, to raise funds for the erection of a convent in Te Aro, which will begin a season of nine nights at the Town Hall on Monday evening next, promises to be most successful. The committee, with a view of providing a good entertainment for tlie public, has prepared a spectacular display in which 100 performers will take paft in appropriate costumes, and with pretty scenic effects. Fancy stalls will give visitors an opportunity of ob* taining something good and serviceable. There will also be a produce stall, containing the home-made delicacies, and a tea kiosk will supply the needs or those requiring refreshments. An efficient orchestra has been engaged, and many side-shows and amusementi will make the Town Hall a very popular resort.
