ADMITS FOURTEEN CHARGES UNABLE to obtain work.

AUCKLAND, September 9. A modern, yet youthful, Bill Sykes came before the Police Court this morning. He was John Massey, aged 24, afid he pleaded guilty to 14 chargee, including nine of breaking and entering dwelling houses, ana three of breaking into shops. He admitted the offences, end said that for a fortnight prior to his arrest he had been sleeping out in A shed. He was unable to obtain sufficient work to keep' himself. His custom was to gain entrance to shope and houses by breaking Window-panes And opening the looks ,of the dobra from inside. Massey was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was refused.
