ALLEGATIONS OF ROUGH PLAY HAWKE’S BAY PROTEST. In legard to the recent Press message from Hawke’s Bay protesting against tho allegations of rough play made in a certain section of the Wellington Press, and the suggestion that the Hawke’s Bay Rugby Union should cancel the return match to he played in Wellington on October 2nd, a “Times” representative approached Mr J, H. Prendeville, chairman of the management committee of the Wellington Rugby Union, last evening. “I have nothing to say,” said Mr Prendeville, “until the meeting of the Wellington Union op Tuesday, or until an official communication is received from Hawke’s Bay.”
