C’ommihuer John Rodgers, of Hawaiian flight fame, died in hospital as a result of his airplane being wrecked on Friday, and falling into the Delaware river. Ho suffered a broken leg and many bruises, but tile pain and shock he endured while the seamen wbrked to free him from the wreckage contributed to his death. His mechanician, Samuel Schultz, was also critically injured. Commander Rodgers was the leader of the ill-fated trans-Pncific _ aerial expedition, who was rescued with the crew of his seaplane. His machine was forced to dip into the sea 300 miles from tho Hawaiian objective, after being in flight for 25 ho-'rs. Commander Rodgers and his eompan-ons were practically given up for lost when a submarine rescued them.
