SOME NEW SHOES

Shoes of sandal shape are having a great vogue at the moment. They look very cool and dainty, with plenty of space between the strips to permit air to circulate. Some are in two or even three colours, the strips being laced into a definite pattern, and they look charming with the modish printed chiffon or crepe frocks. Wliito kid shoes made of leather so fine and delicate that it might well be used for gloves instead, of shoes, are embossed on the vamps with designs in many colours and patterns. They also look delightful with printed frocks, or with plain white ones. Jewelled heels still flourish in the ballroom. Most of the jewels are imitations, for it would scarcely be safe to have treasured heirlooms set in the heels of dancing shoes. Still the imitation gems make a brave show under the scintillating lights of the ballroom.
