PRIME MINISTER’S TOUR IMPASSABLE ROAD. Per Press Association. TE KUITI May 27. The Prime Alinister had a tiresome journey yesterday to Alokauiti, where in the course of his “tour of the King Country he opened the new hall of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. He set out by motor from Waimiha, but the clay portions of the road were impassable, and a quarter ol : a mile of mud was covered on foot, and the rest of the journey was completed in a buggy and a cream lorry. In the evening, after a tedious journey, Air Coates turned on the current of the Wairere Power Board’s hydro-electric system at Pio Pio. He was afterwards entertained at a smoke concert. Mr Coates wns accompanied by the Hon. A, D. McLeod (Minister for Lands).
