SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP In the Soccer football fixtures for this afternoon, the games set down for the Basin Reserve should provide contests of a keen and interesting orde*. The meeting of Y.M.C.A. and Marist on No. 1 ground should .result in a great game. Keen rivalry was shown last season between these teams. The latter by their win over Institute last week will take the field with renewed confidence in their ability to defeat last year's chamSions. Y.M.C.A., after their defeat by lospital have been training hard for the past week. On No. 2 ground Waterside will meet Institute. The former team defeated Brooklyn last week by the odd goal in live'after one of the most exciting games witnessed this season, while Institute were only defeated by Marist in the last few minutes of a hard-fought game. Both teams play attractive football. Cur-tain-raisers Detween Institute and Diamonds, and Petone and Diamonds in the fourth A and B divisions respectively, will be staged at 1.30 p.m. At Association Park, Thistle and Seatoun, two first B division teams, will try conclusions, when an interesting game should result.
