REPAIRED BY IRIS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 26. The cable steamer Iris returned on Sunday, having repaired the break in the Pacifio cable about 370 miles west of Wellington. The work was delayed by heavy gales, which prevailed for five days, during which’ the Iris was hove-to. It is understood that the damage to the cable was due to age.
