DRUNKEN MOTORIST
A DETERRENT FINE. Per Press Association, AUCKLAND, April 26. At the Police Court to-day, Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., fined Horace Horner, aged 29, £IOO for being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car in Queen street on Saturday afternoon and for using obscene language. Mr Hunt said he took into consideration the fact that Horner had been a soldier. and had a wife and a young family, and would not send him to prison.
