TREATMENT OF DIABETES
MONKEY GLANDS GRAFTED VORONOFF CLAIMS SUCCESS. (Sydney “Sun” Cable.) ROME, April 19. Professor Voronoff at Florence graftod part of a monkey’s pancreatic gland on two patients suffering from diabetes. For the first time an operation, which had been successful with animals, was attempted with human tieings. The professor considers that it will prove greatly superior to insulin treatment. Ho told a Florentine medical assembly that it should now be possible to prolong life to an average of 140 year*.
