TITAHI BAY
PROGRESSIVE ASSOCIATION THE COUNTY ELECTIONS. An executive meetine* of the association was held at Titahi Bay on Saturday evening, when there was a good attendance of members. Mr V. Dimock presided. The sub-committee, consisting of tho chairman and Messrs T. Gray and W. Appleton, reported on the question of conveniences, and also as to a rubbish tip. The recommendations of the committee wore adopted, and it was decided to approach the Health Department and tlie County Council in respect to these two matters. The question of the county elections came up for discussion, and it was resolved that the association should run a ticket for the election and make recommendations to the ratepayers in this regard. In this connection it was onnounced that Messrs V. Dimock and R. \V. Bothamlev would be seeking election. It was left in the hands of Messrs Gray and Appleton to draft and send out the necessary circulars. It was also decided to support the proposed loan of J 812,000 to bo handed to the Main Highways Board for road improvements.
