VILLAGE ENGULFED
(Received April 19, 7.15 p.m.) VANCOUVER, April 18. Kona, a village of Hoopuloa, on the south-west shore of the island of Hawaii, was completely wiped out on Sunday morning by an avalanche of lava that burst from the volcano Manna Loa. Ten or 15 houses were engulfed. The fate of the inhabitants is unknown,
