DEFAULTERS EXCEED 28,000. Bv Telegraph..—Press Assn. —Conyn'ghtSYDNEY, April 17. Giving evidence before the Federal Electoral Reform Committee, the chief electoral officer stated that the department Had collected over £2600 in 12 months in penalties of 2s 6d from persons ■ who failed to enrol. The amount represented nearly 29,000 electors.
