POISONED TROUT

STILL UNEXPLAINED. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 17. The Government Analyst stated this morning that the cause of death of the trout in the Avon was still unexplained. A further investigation has been ordered, as the matter mav have a bearing on the public healtn. It was reported recently that thousands of trout had been apparently poisoned in the Avon, and no cause could be suggested.
