QUEEN’S THEATRE
“THUNDER MOUNTAIN”: A UNIVERSAL FILM. “Thunder Mountain,” the William Fox production at the Queen’s Theatre this week, is, according to advance reports, one of the most thrilling and true-to-life. as well as one of the most beautiful, stories of the Blue Ridge mountains ever filmed. The plot is a simple one—dealing with the ambitions of an idealistic mountain lad to elevate his people and his unwilling love for a little circus girl who seeks refuge among the people of the mountains. In ihe story are shown glimpses of the stark poverty, the bigoted beliefs, the superstitions and the hates of the. mountaineers, together with the homely humour which surrounds these crude folk, whose only contact with the world outside comes through the kindly old circuit-rider. An all-star cast, headed by Madge Bellamy and Leslie Fenton, and including Emily Fitzroy, Zasu Pitts, Also Francis, Paul Panzer, Jay Hunt, Russell Simpson and Arthur Houstman. ably portrays the characters in the picture. There is an excellent supporting bill which is greatly enhanced by the music of Miss Eileen Dtrmehy’s orchestra. '
