Sir John Roberts, of Dunedin, is Wellington. Air Campbell Begg has returned to Wellington. Dr. M. T. MacEachern, AssistantDirector American College of Surgeons, left for Napier and Rotorua yesterday. Captain T. M. Wilkes, M.C., staff officer, New Zealand Air Force, was a passenger by the Wahine from Lyttelton yesterday. Mr Zane Grey, who has been fishing in the north for the past two months, has broken camp and with the members of his party will return to Auckland tb-morrow. The noted writer and angler will spend some time fishing at Taupo before returning to America. 31 r C. AJma Baker, of the Straits Settlement, and Mr B. Horsburgh, of Edinburgh, have also returned to Auckland from the Bay of Islands. After an absence of some months through illness, Mr M. Cohen, chairman of the Wellington Harbour Board, resumed his seat at the board table last evening. Members, with one accord welcomed tho popular chairman to the meeting, and individual expressions of pleasure at his recovery were given. The chairman graciously replied andi declared that he was quite happy to lie among his colleagues and again working in the interests of the Harbour Board. There was a large attendance of members and adherents of the Brooklyn Methodist Church to bid farewell to the Rev. Cecil R. Taylor on liis transfer to Grey town. Mr H. P. Mourant (chief circuit steward) occupied the chair, and there were also present the chairman of the Wellington district (the Rev. W. Greenslade), the Rev Rollings (representing the Baptist Church), Sister Bessie (Aro street), and the Rev. J. R. Beerley (Webb street). Apology for absence was received from the superintendent of the circuit (the Rev. Clarence Eaton)* Complimentary references were made to the excellent work carried out by Mr Taylor, and he was handed a well-filled wallet. Opportunity was also taken to congratulate Mr Taylor on his forthcoming marriage, and a presentatio>*.vas made to Mrs Taylor, sen., on behalf of the ladies of the congregation. All present joined in wishing Mr Taylor continued success in his ministry. A musical programme, arranged by Mr* Douglas White, was greatly appreciated.
