Bryant, S. S. Styles, L. D. Nairn, S. Bowler, J. W. Bell, A. J. Monaghan, and D. Prosser. A claim for £5 was received from a Mr Melton, whose car was damaged owing to the fact that a bridge near Johnsonville was being redecked, and there was. no danger sign. Councillor Bell remarked that when one got up' one didn’t always know what time it was until the clock was looked .at. Councillor Styles refused to support the scheme. “It means that the farmet will work seventeen instead of sixteen hours a day.” The chairman thought four months was quite long enough for a trial. It was decided to the letter. It was also decided tb obtain from the Government Statistician one copy of the new yearly handbook. The following was'received from the clerk of the Bruce County Council:— .“That on application being made for the registfation of a motor vehicle, or the transfer of such registration, the a), plicant. be requested to furnish proof to the Registrar ,or Deputv-Re;,'*34rar that the owner of the vehicle, is coveted by a* third party accident insurance policy (for say, £l000)ifor the ensuing kwelv* months ** The letter was received.
