POLO TOURNAMENT

MATCHES AT FEILDING. (Special ,to “Times.”) Feilding being the scene of the polo; tournament this year has brought numbers of visitors from other parts of New Zealand, most of whom met last year, so there is much to talk over, mostly polo, of course! Mr R. L. Levin is vice-president- of the New Zealand Polo Association, an<j has had a great deal to do with the arrangements, naturally, Interest in the polo * tournament increases as the week goes ,on, and there were many spectators for the semi-finals -of the S.avile Cup, whioh resulted in wins.for r Christchurch after a hard fight with Parewanui, and for Hawke’s Bay A over Feilding A. That day the weather was most unpleasant, and the draughty stands made fur coats and warm wraps imperative, gay little hats giving a cheery touch of colour. Thursday was glorious and there was a good attendance, though the matches were, not of the first imports ance. But owing to an / incorrect, notice many people expected to see the finals, and came’ from long distances m vain. ■ .

Among the spectators have been Mis R. Levin and Miss Levin. One day Mrs was wearing a' burnt orange marocain dress, under a gay coat of fair isle design. Riddifort) (Marten;., black ottoman silk and black -and white hat; Mrs H. Johnson (Canterbury), Sahara ensemble suit and bright little hat; Misß Fitzherbert (Palmerston North), rbse crepe tie chine’and rose coloured hat; Lady Wilson (Bulls), black crepe de chine 'and lace black hat; Miss Wilson, navy blue corded silk. blue hat; Mrs 0. Nelson- (Hawke’s Bay), beige stockinette and russet hat: Mrs Hunter Wills. (Palmerston North), Miss Williams (Hawke’s Bay), fawn kasha, and blue hat. ■Others, present have been: Mrs T.
