CHINESE HOSPITAL PATIENTS STAFF FORCED TO STRIKE. Renter’s Telegram. PEKIN, March 11. The self-constituted- Hospital Section of the Miscellaneous Workers’ Union, stating that they were acting on orders from the • Agricultural and Labourers’ Commission, entered the Canton Hospital and forced the working staff, < xcepting the Chinese nurses, to strike. They threatened to kill any remaining behind. The workers appealed for police protection, and were refused. There me seventy patients likely to starve in the hospital. Water and food supply are cut off, and electricity will be cut ■ off later.
