At auction prices for sixty-two tons of Australian rabbit skins averaged 10 per cent, above last October’s values. Tho sale ranged as follows New Zealand furriers, first winter skins, 226 cents (9s sd) per lb; rack, 90 cents (3s 9d); Australian firsts, 168 cents (7s); hatters, greasy, 65 cents (2s 8d) per lb.

LONDON TALLOW MARKET The Bank of New Zealand (produce department) has received the following advice from its London office, under date 3rd instant:—"Tallow: There is a poor demand, and prices have weakened. Current quotations: Good mutton, 44s to 6d per cwt; good beef, 40s ed to 41s; good mixed, 40s to 40s fid; gut, 35s 6d to 38s/’ Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the 3rd instant“llßs casks of tallow offered; 592 sold. Better descriptions are 6d per cwt. lower; other sorts nominally unchanged.” A press cablegram from London states that the price of tallow has declined 6d. and there is no demand.
