EXCITING CHASE

SUSPECT CAPTURED CHARGED WITH THEFT OF MOTOR-CAR. Per Prose Association CHRISTCHURCH January 26. Captured in Hereford street at about 9.30 o’clock on Monday night, after an exciting chase, Harold Hogwood, described as a clerk, aged 18 years, appeared at the Magistrate’s Court today. He admitted having converted to his own use a motor-car belonging tv Augustus Philip Delacour, hut denied having stolen the car of Robert M. Watson. Having pleaded not guilty to the second charge, he was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, while he was remanded till the Supreme Court case was disposed of on the ether charge. Bail was refused.
